40 minutes to AZ, 1 hour to NV.

To get to Oklahoma is about 200 miles and to Mexico about 600 miles I think.

On the South Plains of Texas 45 miles from New Mexico.

5 miles to Indiana, 87 miles to Illinois, 80 miles to Ohio.

PA is about an hour east for me.

About 65 miles to Missouri, and 75 miles to Nebraska.

I'm in the middle of New Mexico, so
about 180 miles to the Arizona line and about 220 miles to the Texas line.

Really far. Im closer to other countries than I am to another US state.

Too damn close to California!

about 215 miles to the GA state line

I'm 150 miles from Mexico and 370 miles from Louisiana and a whole lot farther than that from New Mexico and Oklahoma.

3 minutes to the Missouri state line...

7 miles to Alabama

About 25 miles from Ind. and about 65 from Mich.

About 40miles to WI. and about 40miles to IN.
45 min. drive north or east and I'm back in America.

Maybe it’s a little longer to LA....I can’t remember. I was just looking at a map and judging by the time it takes me to get to Austin and San Antonio...

So I google mapped it and it will take four hours to Laredo, and about the same to go to the Texas state line on I20 west of Shreveport....

I'm a transplant myself (9 years total in 4 cities). The distances in Texas are staggering.

When I moved here the first time I had driven from Greenville, IL, to Greenville, TX, in one loooong day and told my Mom that I had a short day of driving the next day. I thought Midland was on the other side of Dallas, but little did I know it was 380 miles from Greenville to Midland.

45 minutes North of me is SE Washington (an hour north to Kennewick, WA); 45 minutes east of me is SE Washington (1.5 hours or so to Walla Walla, WA).

Three hours east is Idaho

10 hours south is California.

SW Florida here, so I'm about 370 miles to the GA border. I think Cuba is closer.

I live about 110 miles from the Louisiana border. It is about 550 miles to New Mexico, about 310 miles to Mexico, 275 miles to Arkansas, and 320 to Oklahoma. Those are just to the borders for Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico, not to any place you'd really want to go. Add miles to any place that isn't in the middle of nowhere. The distance to Arkansas is to Texarkana, a decent sized town, and the distance to Mexico is to Laredo.

About 10 minutes from Illinois, 12 minutes from Missouri, an hour to Tennessee. It is not unusual for me to do seven states in a day getting to some job sites.
