I think it would almost feel like wearing a fake clone. Gives a certain look but it’s just not what you really want.

It’s kind of worse than a fake clone in a way. A super clone (high end fake) would have an almost identical looking and functioning movement rather than a quartz engine. The fakes are getting scary good to the point the average non watch enthusiast who doesn’t know exactly which flaws to look for could easily be taken.

I wonder, are they flavored? Scratch and sniff?

As we've seen that the nonsense eco-material they make them out of has a tendency to melt on one's wrist, I'm curious why anyone (other than perhaps a child) would still want one?

Nice double speak referring to fellow members who have stated they want one as children. Well played sir.

I want one because it does say Omega (legitimately) and I think the Saturn face is pretty cool.
But you keep doing you.

So far, Swatch has stayed away from making a Flightmaster frawk. You can certain that I'll NOT be buying one...

I’ll be honest, I want the “Mission to Uranus” because it’s arguably the most unique name for a watch ever. Big Grin

The Mission to Jupiter version looks pretty neat too but I’ll wait and grab em used on the fleabay for half the MSRP (which is probably still more than it’s worth) once all the madness dies down.

I don't think it would replace my EDC Citizen F150, but I also am not in the position to drop $8k+ on a real Moonwatch.
As a novelty & relatively inexpensive, The Moon & Mercury definitely have my attention.

I’m not calling people names, relax. You don’t have to interpret for insults from me. Because I generally don’t insult others, and when I do I’m pretty obvious with it. I’m inferring that a plastic watch from “Swatch” would generally be marketed to teens.

Regarding the watch, you’re not put off my the apparent case material defect, so long as it says Omega?

Though funny, nukeandpave's Cadillac Cimmaron comment is really on target. GM tried to slap a Cadillac badge on a poorly build economy car and pass it off as something special. It wasn't. IMO, this watch is exactly that. At $99, OK fine. But trying to pass this plastic fantastic quartz creation off as an Omega is a bit disappointing.

I don't know why everyone is so worked up over it.

Are the snobs angry that the other sneetches are going to get stars, too.

I actually like them. It wasn’t until I saw them staining arms (in this thread) that I dismissed them. And that’s only my frustration with companies virtue signaling with “green” bio caster seed plastic than about the cost. I’m all about fun Seikos and Timex Campers, and higher dollar stuff as well. No one should confuse my comments for anything more than the issue as posted earlier.

I owned an Omega Moon Watch a few years ago.
I never bonded with it and I never wore it, eventually I sold it for about what I paid for it.
Right before I sold it I purchased a Tudor Black Bay GMT so that money went right to the bill when it came in.

My wife is a watch person, she owns several good automatic/manual watches. Cool
My wife is also a gun person, a beer person, a Bourbon person, a Scotch person and after over 30 years being married we still have many many common interest. Big Grin
When my wife saw the new Swatch Moon Watch in pink (Mission to Venus) she said she wanted one as soon as they became available on line or from an AD we do business with, who am I to argue. Wink

So as you can see I do not have a problem with it. Big Grin

What I do not understand on the watch forum I am on is why so many people are loosing there shit over this. It is just another watch, it's not like Swatch is counterfeiting the Omegas Moon watch.
You would think watch enthusiast would be happy more people were becoming interested in watches.
