I put a set of Michelin Defender LTX tires on my SUV and they are incredible tires. Handle well wet dry and snow, they are barely worn at all after 50,000 miles and they look good. I highly recommend Michelin as a brand and Costco to buy them from if that's an option for you. I have also run the conti's that someone mentioned and they were great tires as well.
