Course of action for getting a gun back/refund? Login/Join

First time this ever happened to me.
Bought a ZEV glock pistol from a ZEV distributor.
Gun didn't work from round 1.
Was sent back to them. Only info is I get is that it is in a BIG line to be repaired.
Asked for a refund. They said they can't refund anything not bought directly from them. Their warranty says nothing of point of purchase.

What action is available to me now? Thought of a consumer complaint but they are based in CA so I don't figure there will;l be any sympathy there.

What now?

You need to deal with whoever you paid the money to.

You bought the gun from a distributor. The distributor paid ZEV less for it than you paid ZEV. So ZEV's not going to refund you. The distributor doesn't have it, so they're not going to refund you.

I think you're just going to have to wait for the repair.

What does the warranty say? If it's typical: Probably limited to a "repair or replace at their expense" kind of a thing?

Unless you bought the gun directly from the manufacturer, you're not going to get a refund from them. Only repair or replace.

Why would anyone even think this was possible? It's not with any other item purchased through a retailer.

OP's situation sucks, but he's not getting his money back from retailer or manufacturer in this case. Warranty is a warranty. If they can't fix it they will replace it I suppose, but it's not a get my money back guarantee.

https://www.nolo.com/legal-enc...ract-warranties.html. I used this on Springfield Armory a few years ago for a defective XD. I got a full refund from them no questions asked. I also used this on ProMag with similar results.
