Savor the limelight

I hate when they change settings, menus, where things are, and how to do things. I know how to do the things I do, and don't enjoy having to hunt for what they've changed so that I can either reset it or figure out how to accomplish what I already was doing under the old ios.
I feel the same way. |

| My work controls the OS, I would wait but it was pushed to my phone.
No problems so far. |

Told cops where to go for over 29 years…
| So far I have updated both my iPads, figured I’ll “learn” the changes on those and then do my phone (15 ProMax) in a week or so. Seems Apple has pulled the upgrade for the most recent M4 iPads due to reports of bricking. I have an M2 iPad and an M4, no issues with either upgrades. Seems the M4 issue might be limited to those who first update to 17.7 and then 18. For what it’s worth, I had the option on both of mine and went straight to 18. Didn’t see much point in doing a 17.anything if going to 18.

I also have an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I did the update last night and everything went smoothly. I like some of the new features like being able to replace/delete the flashlight and camera buttons at the bottom of the lock screen. I re-programmed mine to mute and calculator respectively.

| So is there anything meaningful or helpful or REALLY desirable for 70 year olds here? Or just change for changes sake? I hate having to relearn the manual of arms every 2-3 years. |

Stop Talking, Start Doing
| iOS 18 is great … I’m loving the new look and configuration options. Biggest overall update I can remember in a while!

| Still sucks. It's still of the age where Apple knows more than you and want you want so you still can't edit your own Home Screen without tearing everything apart and rebuilding the phone. Apple sucks always has and always will. P.S. Apple died with Steve Jobs.

| quote: It is not “unusable”, some people are just being very vocal about not liking the changes. I’ve moved to iOS 18 on my iPads and like the new photos app changes. It lets me customize how things are ordered, etc. unlike the previous version. Like any major change, it will take some getting used to and there is a learning curve.

| Yeah the stupid iPhone mirroring on macOS is a disaster. I know of three people who said it's unusable on their computers. Never connects Connects for 30-45 seconds then shuts off. Apple Pay no longer works on ios16 for people the Apple Card is dying. HA its a good time to go to Pixel and say be gone Applecrap Just like SIGArms it's all beta testing. Can't wait to see how bendable the Icrap 16 sporting no AI when its lunched but said to maybe coming in 2025 will fair.
