Just proves what we have been thinking, and saying for some time. DemocraPs have no idea about what the constitution says or means.

I guess their ideas of "constitutional" have to do with their bowel movements.

Two things I have learned since the 2016 election:

1) Elections will not stop the left. In 2016 the republicans took both houses and the executive and the left's drive to tyranny increased (see corrupt department of injustice and their goose stepping enforcement arm the FBI).

2) The house is powerless. Let them introduce bills that go nowhere, let them subpoena documents and people to testify. Respond the EXACT same way the left did when the republicans were in charge. Refuse to hand over documents, and when you finally do redact them to be completely useless; if you are suppoeaned to testify show up and say "I don't recall" or just take the fifth.

Nothing will come of their control of the house except we will have two more years of a completely ineffective government. Shocker.

If we get rid of the electoral college, we'll have to get rid of each of the two senators representing each state. No need for them since states will have no representation. While we're at it, no governors either since Washington DC rules over the entire country. Jettison the whole assembly/legislature system for the states. We'll just have a fuckin' King/Dictator and a bunch of commissaries, something the commies really wanted with Obama.

Goddamn Commies.

They are bound and determined to make this republic into a democracy. This is masturbatory though.

Its amazing. Trump has everyone in such a frenzy. They are wasting time on grandstanding, and to the base of political supporters, only strengthening Trumps position. It is enjoyable to watch.

It will be even more interesting to watch next presidential election to see how many more "secret" Trump voters come onboard. I don't think anything is predestined, and I am clearly hoping Trump wins another turn in a landslide.

Every liberal, democrat, socialist, ignorant, Darwinian thinning- the-herd member is reacting. Only Trump is being proactive. Yes, he is spontaneous, he is putting on a show, and yes he is Twitter - cuckoo. But that is how he gets to communicate directly with his public. It's working. No matter if people love him or hate him, they read. Very much like how Reagan was able to talk directly around the press to the public. The entire Washington machine is completely and absolutely reacting to everything he does. Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, their heads are exploding.

And how many years has the Equal Rights Amendment been in the works? So much for Constitutional Amendments.

Trump gamed the system by focusing on the electoral votes and did not waste resources in places like CA where he knew he would not win. If the system required the popular vote the Trump campaign would have been completely different and he would have won the popular vote.

This.

As it turned out, the numbers say Trump lost the popular vote-count in CA by more than he won the other 49 by. He could easily have spent time extending his wins in solid-red territory, had that mattered in the slightest.

The founders were very concerned about the risks in setting up a system wherein the presidential campaign could be won by winning just a few heavily-populated states, which is why we have the Electoral College. You're not going to get Rhode Island and Delaware to join a system in which small states have zero chance in affecting the elections of the most powerful position in said system.

Right now, the D's are seeing the failure of their campaigning to a relatively few, densely populated areas. The vast majority of the area of the country (aka 'Flyover territory') is having none of it. So, it's no secret the D's would like them from having any sway over the Presidential elections.

Sadly (for them) the process of amending the Constitution takes more than just tantrums from half of Congress. Among other things, that'd need most of those flyover states agreeing to take themselves out of the picture by ratifying that nonsense. Not going to happen.

This is why every single commie out there (including Romney just yesterday) refer to us as a "democracy".

Who was it that said if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes truth? Oh yeah...
