The Regera has been at the Houston cars & coffee a couple times, not sure if it was a dealer model or privately owned.
I'll make it down there one of these days.

For me, silver with the blue plaid cloth seats is the only spec that matters.

No problem, it's a bit more expensive but we can have it ready for you, shipped in, prepped, we just need payment $1.9, you can wire it to my uncle in Kenya, be sure to include the extra $50K for shipping, I will email you his address....

Wouldn't mind the car. Heck, I'm more interested in the three cylinder engine that runs without having a camshaft.

As for the Benz. I once saw a '61 sitting in some woods next to an abandoned motorhome.

It was almost as bad as the Range Rover passing time away in a bamboo thicket. Who wouldn't want a 4 wheel drive station wagon?

1.9m would be a bargain, last I'd seen they were trading in the 2-2.5m range, but it's been quite a while since I looked.
Can trade you straight up for a 2020 Explorer Razz

Freevalve, uses an actuator per valve instead of a camshaft & springs.

As the your Merc, wasn't a Gullwing, as those stopped in 1957
The roadster went on for a few years after that, so a 61 would have to have been a convertible if it were a 61

In addition he also held the patent for the Flex Fuel Combustion Engine. Just that would set someone for life with all the cars and trucks Ford and GM made and sold with that technology.

I remember GM trying that with their five cylinder, but didn't follow along to see how it went.

The '61 Benz was a silver convertible with the hard top (and an incredible waste). Wanted to fix it up and trade it for a house. Wink

So, I guess I’m the only one who read that as Gamera, and wondered my they named a car after a giant flying turtle-monster?

Here's your $2.4 mil silver SL Gullwing, I saw it in the Glass House at Kissimmee Mecum last year.

Ludicrous price, but nearly perfect spec, for me.

Small Supply and High Demand plus super wealthy Cryptonaires who need to fill their mega garages = Ludicrous Prices....

You could always call Dave Kindig and have them build you one to spec, one you could drive, with ludicrous power, better controls and ride, AC, super high quality build....

If I'm spending that much, I want an original, not a restomod.
And if I can spend that much, I can likely afford to repair/maintain it.
