For TWO guns I put on consignment. One I remember leaving at the shop. A S&W hand ejector in .32-20. A gun I took a beating on due to trusting someone I sort of knew, bought it sight unseen. It was terribly misrepresented. At that point I just wanted it out of my life, didn't care how much I lost.

The second was the first SIG I'd ever bought. A two tone P220. I'd long wondered what happened to it. I knew I got rid of it when I bought a P220ST (the CPO red box glory days and Ordnance Outsellers). But that's it, zero recollection of how/where I got rid of it.

But I started to think... did I ever get paid? It wasn't a store I went to often as it was several hours from home.

Receipt say 4/3/05 If not, I guess I'm out of luck at this point. lol

If you did get paid for the consignment guns, you would not have forgotten it. I once had an AR-15 on consignment at my FFL. It took almost a year to get sold. Funny they notified me it was sold but never let me know when the check was ready. I eventually had to ask and finally got paid.

You need to find out and not just assume “I’m out of luck at this point”.

The first step, does the store still exist AND under the same ownership?
