Are you also overweight?

225. I could lose a couple of pounds and I am hoping the exercise will help.

I do have a lot of self inflicted stress as well. I let my brother move in after his divorce. he promised he would find a place in a couple of weeks. Then he realized he cant afford to live in SLC. Then he said a couple of months and he will find another place to live. That was eleven months ago. He has been given the ultimatum to be out by April. I have learned he is a liar, lazy and likely a sociopath. In that time he hasn't saved a penny and he is pretty much squatting on my internet and cable TV. No good deed goes unpunished. I think having him out will earn help relax me and that will help my pressure as well.

Back to the BP: Did you see this: Speaking Of Blood Pressure: Taurine Supplementation May Help?

Note the list of additional things Taurine is shown to help with.

Btw: My BP remains at ±120/80 - even on yesterday morning's check, when I'd inadvertently halved my Taurine supplementation on Sunday.

Thanks I will look into that.

That's not bad for a 6'5" frame.

I'm 6'4" and currently 186 lbs. That's light, for me. When I'm in peak fitness I run around 192 lbs.

But, there's weight and then there's weight. Of that 186 lbs. I'm now at, I'm running around 19% body fat. Six years ago or so I was 192 lb.s and 15% body fat. I was 193 lbs. and 23% BF when I got back on the horse back in November.

Stress is a killer--both figuratively and literally. Stress hurts sleep and poor sleep tends to increase stress. A bad positive feedback loop. Stress also raises cortisol levels, making it harder to rid yourself of fat, build lean mass, and control insulin resistance.

Whenever I go to my doctor I take my blood pressure machine and let them look at the numbers themselves. It holds 90 readings and shows an average. Just like the doctor on the video instructed to take blood pressure, the instruction manual with the machine emphasizes the same principles . It also states to elevate your arm to heart level.

The doctor's office never takes the blood pressure correctly and mine is always high when they take it.

Mine is always higher in the doc's office too. They say there is an anxiety of being there. I can't say I notice it, but maybe my heart does.

I have high blood pressure and I happy as poo. My wife has low blood pressure and we are constantly on edge. Our cardiologist told us that people with low blood pressure (aka POTTS syndrome) have a better chance of dying from low blood pressure. If I take care of myself and with medication I should be able to live a normal life. My wife takes a prescription vassal constrictor and 6 Salt Tabs a day and still gets low episodes that drop her to her knees. My wifes mom and sisters both have Potts syndrome. They have it much worse as the feint and pass out. My daughter was just diagnosed with it too. So high blood pressure is way better than low blood pressure.

I'm just 77 last week. I've been 140/78 since forever, and have bradycardia. My resting pulse rate is around 42 bpm, but I can slow it down when I'm rifle shooting to about 38 so's I can shoot between heartbeats.

Apart from these anomalies, I'm pretty fit.

I do not know if this is true or not, however back in the early 1990's I remember my doctor mentioning to me that normal blood pressure used to be 140/80 or was considered normal but then they lowered it. I do not know if this was true and if so how long ago. However my diabetic friend said that he knows that they keep lowering the range for normal for blood sugar over the years. Which in his opinion will make more people considered diabetic. So who knows maybe the same for blood pressure. God Bless Smile
