My hypocrisy goes only so far

Decided to get back into selling some of the items I like to make as the local winery two miles from my home hosts “popup markets” 4-5 times a year.
The owner asked if I was interested & my wife suggested I should as an outlet for all the crap I make for no reason other than I enjoy making them & things have been piling up around my shop.

But after going through my old sales stuff I realized I wanted to upgrade my sign / shingle I hang up in my booth as the old one was just a painted one. So over the last month of crappy weather I was able to carve a new one.
It’s 72” x 14” so no one should bang their head on it in the booth.

Now I can get into cranking out some more product to sell. Razz

As I work in the sign industry, WELL DONE!

I know I'm a color science director and have automated CNC routers that do this, I love to see it done the right way.

By hand.

Wish I could work fast enough carving signs to be profitable but you just can’t compete with a CNC

Well there is an intrinsic value to not having it done in record time by a machine, man made is always a step up and should command more money than a CNC version.

Well done GB, very nice piece.

That’s some skillz!!

I have finally convinced my wife that upon our relocation and settling in, the few tools i lack for making custom woodworking items but, i just might need to try my hand at wood carving (doubt i’ll get past 1/2 of a project but will need to try. Smile
