Trust me I’d rather be working. The 600 a week won’t even cover the alimony and child support payments I am forced by the state to pay my ex. All that “extra” money will be going right to her.
Michigan's system is a mess also.I know people that still cant get on to register and have been off for over a month.
I'm alright it's the rest of the world that's all screwed up! May 07, 2020, 11:24 AM

Yes but wont you be getting the extra 600.00 a week that people that are still working wont get?

I applied about the same time as you, nothing yet either on my end. I've appealed, but they are weeks behind on appeals and the lady I spoke with said the appeal is just step on, once they process the appeal then they will request additional documentation which will take weeks more. I'll likely be back working by the time they get their shit together. *If* they finally approve it it can put back some of the money I've spent from savings.
Oh yeah, still no stimulus check for the Skins household yet either.

ElToroMy CPA didn’t file my 2019 because he was waiting for me to get money based on 2018 income. If I had filed my 19’s I would have made too much to qualify. So I got ~2000 thanks to the kids. But now I owe in July the feds for ‘19 about $~2000. So it’s better than coming out of pocket 2k. I just get to watch it sit in savings for 2 months.

If I hadn’t filed for 2019 I’d have got 3400. Stupid me trying to get it out of the way early.

We won’t even get $500 for our daughter. At least my wife is saving money on gas by not having to drive to work. The whole stimulus plan has largely been a bust in my opinion. We have one tenant in our rental house (my mom lives in the other apartment of this 2 family house that we own) that is making out like a bandit. She works as a waitress and does makeup on the side. Between unemployment and the $600 weekly bonus unemployment, she’s doing great. Plus her boyfriend that also lives there is employed by the state so they are actually making more money right now than they would be otherwise. Her side business doing makeup will be picking up soon as well. At least we don’t have to worry about them paying rent lol.
I hear you.
To be honest I hadn't even thought about the stimulus, then I get notification of a $1005 transfer to our account last Thursday and thought Da Hell is this? Looked and was like Oh cool, they just gave us about 15% of the money back that we paid in two weeks prior.
Didn't really want or need it but I did get a laugh about the $5 for the wife and I.

1lowlifeWife and I got nothing, but that is Ok, we are both still working thru all this Wuhan BS.
We really don't need it.
FIL, that hasn't paid taxes in we don't know how long, got a direct deposit for $1200.
To be honest, as far as the IRS goes, if he had filed federal income tax all these years, his income is so low the IRS probably owe him money..

pwelch001Ours said it would be deposited on the 6th, still not in. I’m getting a bad feeling my greedy ex might see it. My share I could see, but my wife’s and the kids shouldn’t be touched.

az4783054Another trillion dollar(?) stimulus package, this time from the White House and the republicans. The plan is to pay Americans to go back to work. They call it a bonus...
