P228 KARMA for military folks (past and present)---> *** WINNER = V-Tail ***
What a very generous karma. Thank You. 25 year Marine veteran. A little story, my very first day to a new sigint unit, I powered up a communications van and failed to open the ventilation panels. Burned up a multi million dollar piece of equipment. Kind of set the tone for that tour!

Very generous of you, please count me in.

For the past 34 years I've worked for the the US Air Force. From 1984-1995, I was active duty. In 1995 I separated to go to work for the DOD and have been doing that to this day. Keeping the warfighter as safe as possible.

I'm having trouble hosting an image but here's a quick funny that happened a few days ago:

Last Friday my daughter and her little girls and I were at the base very early. Just as we parked, they were playing Reveille, which I haven’t heard being played on a base in ages. Pretty cool. So we rolled the windows down and told Kayleigh (4) & Avery (2) to listen... to which Kayleigh replies “is that the ice cream truck?

Another generous karma. Thank you for the chance.

Here are the ones I'm certain of, and I'm probably missing a couple:

My great (many greats) Grandfather's brother was recognized for his service in the French and Indian War. Another one of my Grandfathers and his brother fought in a pivotal battle for our side in the Revolutionary War alongside Davy Crocket's father and other notables - including one of their Cousins who was a Colonel and one of the battle's commanders. An Uncle of mine survived the Battle of the Bulge and one of his brothers (another Uncle of mine) escaped German capture with the help of a French farming family who helped hide him until the coast was clear, and another Uncle had a small role in Doolittle's Raid. My father served on a Carrier during and in Vietnam and his brother was a B-52 Navigator and later a Squadron Commander who aged out at Colonel, and three Cousins of mine were career Navy guys - two serving on different Carriers (Nimitz and forget the other one) and another Cousin was a crewman on those flying command center / spy planes based at Tinker in Oklahoma where (IIRC) every flight was Secret in terms of destination and duration and whatever, and I served four years I'm the Army during Desert Storm and finished as an E5 M1 Tank Commander - having also been a Corporal (E4 NCO vs Specialist E4) which was very rare but I made Tank Commander at E4 and went to PLDC asap. It was a hectic time, leading up to Iraq.

I'm unaware of any verified service during WWI and the War of Northern Aggression, but I bet there are at least Cousins who served in those. Regardless, we've been there at/during many notable conflicts in this nation's history, following our arrival in 1720. And no one pressured anyone about it, my parents tried to talk me out of it, it was all voluntary - so the story goes.

Please place me into this thoughtful karma.

I would like you to imagine Bin Laden’s rooftop. Now imagine some manly men, with manly weapons to include a Sig P226 standing on this rooftop.
The cat in the lower left corner of the picture is me.
