If you have served or are serving, or if you have family member(s) who did/do the same, you are eligible. Thank you all for your service and sacrifices.

Winner will be picked on Veterans Day. Good luck.

Any pics and/or stories you care to share would be greatly appreciated.

The P228 - It's been through a lot, but it still goes bang with every trigger pull. Cool

This one, KB date code (1991), triple matching #s, was bought used in 2014 and was actually originally factory 2-tone Nickel. The slide had some issue at the muzzle end that I decided to have SIG refinish it. The new Nickel finish looked nothing like the original Klein Nickel. But, more importantly, they must have overplated the darn slide, because, when I got it back, I was now unable to retract the slide. Instead of sending it back, I decided to do bubba gunsmithing myself trying to remove some stuff from the inner surface of the slide with the dremel tool. Moron. Roll Eyes Also tried to smooth out the front edge of the chamber hood. Roll Eyes It finally worked, and I test fired 100 rounds through it at the time without any malfunctions. But now, the darn thing looked fairly ugly.

So, I ultimately had CCR refinish the slide & barrel in their CPII in April last year. The frame was NOT refinished. And, it has been sitting in the safe until last week, when I took it to the range to test to make sure it's still good to go . Shot 200 rounds of various ammo as shown in the first 2 pics. There were zero malfunctions. Gun was then cleaned, and pics show exactly how it looks now.

What you will receive: the gun, the two original German zipperback 13-rd mags, the correct red P228 manual, and the original box.

Please, know you state/local law regarding the legality of this gun and/or mag restrictions.

Great karma! I have 2 grandsons with military experience. One still on active duty in Special Forces, one medically retired.

I spent 11 years on active duty, 9+ years in Germany back before the wall came down. Spent a lot of that time watching that border.

Please sign me up for the KARMA!

Thanks.

I'd like to enter for my daughter, who is still serving. She loves to go shooting, and bought two handguns the first week she returned from Iraq.

Here she is lounging at Saddam's crib in 2011. Cool
