I can’t remember the name of the lube but a while back some guys put the lube on one of those sciencey machine. It had a very similar profile of crisco. They fried and ate an egg with the lube.

IIRC, Fireclean was the name of the stuff.

I'm going to make a statement that others here might not like. Modern do all be all gun cleaners and lubes are for lazy assholes who don't clean and lube after ever shooting session. Simple fact.

Back when I was young, my now departed father beat it into my head. There may be times when its not practical or ever possible to clean the gun right away. So then you clean it at the first chance. None of this waiting till next week or month. Tomorrow at the latest, and then only for a good reason. Like a hospital stay or to take the wife to dinner. Then you clean it.
