Wait, what?

My wife happened to live in Englewood Florida as a child. Her father decided to purchase a locally for-sale house owned by a gentleman by the name of Sid. Sid was a long time tour bus driver for the Charlie Daniel’s Band.

Over the course of the purchase, Sid presented my then 8 year old wife with a few gifts of some pretty cool memorabilia. A demo only album of Million Mile Reflections signed by the band, a picture of Charlie signed by the band, a post card with the tour buses that used to be parked at the house, and a personal note from Sid. She was supposed to meet the band but never got the chance.

Anyway, for those that liked the music and the genre, enjoy this stroll down memory lane.

My wife’s name is Toby, so there’s a slight misspelling Razz

Sid Yochim. He didn't just drive the bus, he owned the transportation company which included the busses and the trucks used to haul the shows.

He passed in 2011.

Thanks for the memories. Cool stuff you got there. I grew up with Charlies Daniels music and Southern rock. I saw him live in 1974, 1975 and 2007. He was a good dude, very supportive of veterans and a NRA member. It was sad when he passed away.

Thanks for the info- we’ll add it to the history. My 23 year old daughter will be entrusted with this collection when we pass. She’s pretty interested in keeping them safe.

That is cool. People like Sid doing what was a small thing at the time turned into something special. That now includes the Sig Forum! Smile

Thanks for sharing.

And it should be!
Very cool collection of memories you have there. Thanks for posting this. Cool
I’ve seen CDB a number of times over the years. A few in my younger days I really don’t remember so clearly!
Maybe, coulda been due to some intoxicating substances…not really sure.
