Hard to pick just one favorite, but I guess mine would be "Silent Night" (in German, preferably). Runners up are "O Holy Night", "Away In A Manger " (any of the 3 tunes), and "O Come, All Ye Faithful" ("Adeste, Fideles"). Others in the running are the Coventry Carol ("Lullay, Thou Little Tiny Child") and "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly" (a Polish carol). However, I like most of the traditional carols with a religious theme. For secular songs, I prefer Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" and Gene Autry's "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer" as favorites; Mel Tormé's "The Christmas Song" is also in the running. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth | |||
