I started mine in 1971 just as I was finishing up my senior year in college until I had to shave it off that fall for boot camp. Started growing it back as soon as I left Lackland and have had it ever since. Neither of my kids nor grandkids have ever seen me without it. So I guess it's a little over 50 years. Since '68. Haven't ever shaved it off. Met my wife in '69 so she's never seen me without it. What was dark brown then it now 100 percent grey. Nice shade of grey but grey none the less.

Moustache and beard started in 1974. Moustache has been there the entire 48 years but I did shave off the beard once. The spousal unit screamed "grow it back!" when she saw me without it. I followed orders.

I think I let the moustache grow around 1987. The beard is much more recent--2006. I let the beard grow when I had Carotid Artery surgery (couldn't shave one side for a while). My friends liked it so I let it stay. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

I have no recollection of when I started mine. Sometime in young adulthood. When I ran for the House in 2014, my consultant suggested I shave it. i told him to bugger off. I can't remember how long I've had a ponytail either. __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to.

Stickman, love it! I've been growing my mustache since 1999. Other people could even tell I sort of had one by 2000 even. I shaved it off when I was going through fire school (volunteer FF1), and I met my wife at the end of that school. Long story short...I deployed a couple of months later having just been married and immediately started growing my stach again. That was 2001. Got home in December and the wife hated it. Me being the asshole I am, I've only shaved it once since. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The trouble with our Liberal friends...is not that they're ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so." I had to shave it off for basic training and TACS in 1978-79. It’s 2022. ______________________________ Men who carry guns for a living do not seek reward outside of the guild. The most cherished gift is a nod from his peers.

Since 1976. I cut it off one time, after I was married. The wife acted like I had put a damn nose ring in, the way she claimed it changed my appearance with it gone. Funny thing is, the mustache is still here, long after she is gone. "Prepared in mind and resources"

Well, I've had my moustache since I was about fourteen, but I've never let it out in the open.

I've had one since I was 15 but had to temporarily shave it off for 8 weeks during boot camp in 1984. 十人十色

I grew a moustache while I was in the Marines, sometime around 1967-68. Since then, it's been shaved off only one time, and I left it grow back immediately. So I've had it for 56-57 years...minus two weeks. ------------------------------------------------ "It's hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions, than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." I've had mine since 1976, when I was 16. I turn 62 tomorrow. I was a Junior in High School. I've had it all this time and have had a short beard on and off since then also.
