For about 24 years in some form or another. I had a short goatee for most of that time but the last couple years I've said fuck it and am rocking the full viking beard.

I never had much luck with facial hair. Tried to grow it a few times but it never really amounted to anything. So in 2001 I got laid off and it was about 3 months until I started a new job so I let it grow then. It was doing OK until it all went gray, then it got to be just kinky/scraggly/ugly. When the pandemic hit I said screw it and took it all off except the 'stash. I keep that trimmed most of the time, but I'm thinking about just letting it go wild after I retire in another year or two.

Wife asked me to "try" growing a mustache to see if she would like it so I did...
That was about 1979... I still have it, and I'm still waiting for her to decide if I should keep it.

Looks like I am in good company. Started mine (beard and mustache) while in the US Navy in 1977. Didn’t look like much then but they apparently gave me some slack. Trimmed off in ‘83 and my future wife said “Grow it back!” Which I did. Hasn’t been off since. So just shy of 40 years. Very few that I know remember me without facial hair.

Almost all of my four daughters have husbands or Boyfriends that have beards. That seems to be the standard 'stache' of their age group.

A lot of my age group has the 70's porn stache going. Generally speaking, it seems that Pilots and Cops like mustache's as well.

Not as long as most of you. The current once since 2016. I've had it off and on since 1996.

Since 1979. My wife wanted to see me with one. Two years later her dad asked me when I grew it.

I had to shave it for six months thanks to an idiot Regimental Commanding Officer in Okinawa.

I still have it, for some reason it has turned grey. Cool
