for an expired inspection sticker.

Not required when the vehicle is registered as an antique, I just never scraped the old one off.

Damn good thing he wasn't sitting about a half mile closer in the passing zone... Razz Big Grin

One of the benefits of Antique reg in TX. You get a motorcycle sized sticker that goes on the rear plate [antique reg only requires 1 plate].
No registration sticker on the [tiny in the Midget] windshield, and TX went to stickerless inspection years ago.

When I owned Corvettes, the Ohio State Patrol seemed to want to run my VIN on a regular basis.

Reminds me of a HS buddy. He had a 66 Mustang coupe in primer gray. Got stopped on a drug suspicion. Apparently a known dealer had a 60s fastback in primer.

I'm thinking, "Damn, he must have good eyes!"

Our inspection stickers are affixed to the inside of the windshield in the lower corner.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

They're color coded by year to make it easy for Barney to spot expired ones. I'm sure my Little Red Corvette figured into the equation as well.

The county assessor values personal property here such as vehicles which they use NADA low book. UNLESS you have an antique plate on it, then they value it as a much more valuable "antique".

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Mmmmmmm, possible, but doubtful. Bone stock exhaust and I didn't wind it that tight. 80-ish in 4th.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

If you had Michigan plates on it they probably would have hooked it up and locked you up while they "investigated".
