I forgot it was on. I was just now sitting "on the throne" and I heard someone yelling. I was thinking "Who the hell is out in the pouring rain and what are they yelling about?" Then I realized he was yelling "Go, go, go!" Big Grin

I remembered the game and checked the score on my tablet. A minute later the score went up. THAT'S who he was yelling to go, go, go. Wink

Wow. What the fuck Toyota?

Don’t think for a moment we didn’t see your attempt to make Muslims “inclusive” with that commercial.

Man NBC must have sacrificed a lot of advertising revenue to self promote. The whole theme of this has been pretty much:

"Hey we're NBC, did you know we have Jimmy Fallon? And the olympics? Well the winter olympics are starting soon. Oh here's Lindsay Vonn again to promote the olympics in case you forgot we host them. Oh and here's Jimmy Fallon again, remember him?"

Hadn't watched ANY NFL games all year but circumstances conspired such that the Super Bowl was scheduled to be on here. Well damned if an hour before kickoff switching on the home theater system revealed a dead cable box. Did all the due diligence and there was no life to be coaxed out of it. Engaged customer service in chat and explained things. They acknowledged I did all the right checks and their attempt to reactivate remotely failed so they said they'd do their best to have a tech visit but they only worked until 8pm tonight and the service ticket would roll over to Monday.

Unbelievably the tech showed up, replaced the box and we were up and running just after the second quarter started. Talk about impressively quick service. Speechless!

You're getting and I am. Smile I remember championship games, then the AFL-NFL series, and finally the advent of Super Bowls. Damn where has the time flown?

The cable tech asked who I favored in the game. I explained I had no favorites other than to tease a die hard Pats fan I know who lives in Memphis. Told him I used to follow whatever pro teams the Syracuse University stars played for, for as a local I had watched Jimmy Brown and Ernie Davis at Syracuse and of course those who followed... Csonka, Little, Nance, et all.... Have always been sad about leukemia claiming Davis so young, as a Cleveland backfield with both Brown and Davis would have been legendary. But SU's program has waned significantly, so....

Pretty good game so far. Go Eagles!
Half time nothing special. Why can't we get an all American metal band like Metallica?
Oh well Wink

How can you say nothing special!? To light up part of the actual city (not just the stadium) in tribute to a fantastic Minnesota musician? That must have taken tremendous effort. Or did you miss that part?
