It's not just the dimensions. Old battery should have a group size number on it. That's the size, terminal location, and orientation.

I just replaced the two batteries in my diesel Super Duty with the AGMs from Walmart. Got 5 years out of my last pair and the warranty is good nationwide. Oh, they also had the best price too. ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

These are the same exact battery as Interstate but with 1 more year of free replacement warranty than Interstate. Both made by Johnson Controls. It's a very good battery. BUT, if you got 7 years out of the factory battery, why even ask, go buy another factory battery!!!!!! Ford batteries seem to last a very long time.

if you want a battery that will have a 11 year warranty go with a ionic lithium. all the other batteries are a joke compared to them.

The key word is should. I can't find a group size anywhere on the old battery.

Is it worth spending double or triple at the dealership for a battery that might last 7 years vs a cheap Walmart battery warrantied for 3 years?

27F has the terminals in the position of the old battery.

As with most things, the battery that came in it 7 years ago is not the battery you will buy today. Car battery longevity is a thing of the past. Unless you buy lithium which are silly money. Walmarts are on every corner pretty much and open 7 days a week, many times 24 hours a day. I just had to replace the battery in our 2022 Navigator ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I buy my batteries for my cars at Costco. My 7.3 excursion will need batteries every 3 years and I get them replaced under warranty. Gone are the days of 5 year batteries for me. I miss the Diehard batteries from Sears, they seemed to last forever. Let all Men know thee, but no man know thee thoroughly: Men freely ford that see the shallows. Benjamin Franklin

I just bought a Die Hard from Advance Auto Parts for my truck a few weeks ago. I guess they took over the Die Hard line.

My last two NAPA batteries died right before the 36 month warranty was about to expire. Both batteries were replaced for free without any hassle. Definitely got my money’s worth. I have had good luck from Autozone as well, and like others have said 3-4 years is now my expectation. Cars that have an auto start/stop now have another auxiliary battery connected to the system about the size of a motorcycle battery which should be checked and/or replaced. My approach is now the cheapest battery with the best warranty, which puts me somewhere in the middle with a 36 month warranty. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil

I am not as much brand particular as I am where it's made, USA made battery is what is paramount to me. Interstate has always been good, buying the interstate blem batteries have worked well even though they only have a year warranty.

Exchange it for a 27F battery.

Any of the private lable, mid tier or better; as many CCA as you can get for your size and heat murders batteries. Here in FL if I get 3 years I’m lucky, anything past 3 years and it’s borrowed time. When you hear that battery struggling to start your car it’s done within days or weeks. I don’t bother trying to charge etc. just replace. If your meticulous about records buy the Walmart and keep the receipt and work the refund in a few years.

I buy Costco Interstate AGM. Can’t beat the price. Good performance. And I maintain my batteries with a Noco Genius 10. Best $$$ I have ever spent. 0:01

Take the old one in, you'll pay a core charge if you don't, and they can match it up that way as well....

Thanks for that information. The Clarios threw me as I’ve had great experience, with the Everstsrt battery line and when I replaced my Ersngler’s battery in July I saw that and wondered. I used to keep up on,who owns who during my years in auto dealers as I used to sell a lot of parts to suppliers for competitor evaluations. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
