Had an affected jar, 1/4 gone. I eat a bit for a quick breakfast once, and our little dog gets some for a treat in his Kong which keeps him busy for and hour or so. In the trash now.

Well what do you know. My jar of Jiff is in the recall and its over half gone at this point (I eat a fair amount of peanut butter). Being the hardhead I am, I figure if eating 2/3 of the jar hasn't sickened or done me in yet, I might as well just finish it. Razz

We got the robo call also and have eaten about a third of the first jar. Will toss it and take the label to Costco for a refund on our next rotation through there..

Look for 425 in the first seven numbers below the "best if used by date".

I had to look through several articles including from the FDA to figure this out.

Under the "Best used by" Date there will be a 13 to 15 number lot code. It's the first 7 digits that matter. if digits 5,6 and 7 are "425" your JIFF is recalled.

I'll let you know if COSTCO gives me a refund for mine........

It's JIF. One "F"!

Ok, carry on with throwing away perfectly good food during a coming food shortage.

My wife has already burned thru 1 and 1/2 jars of the recalled Costco 2 packs with no ill effects.
She has one more 2 pack left and hanging on to it. Personally I don't even eat it.
