doublesharpWhat is the most important thing you've learned on Sig Forum?
If you ask my wife she will say "Thank you Sig Forum for teaching Dave how to reverse sear a 2" thick ribeye"
Another Sig Forum technique that gets used regularly is Shugart's microwave corn recipe.

And then there is the paracord deal, thermapen deal, Ken Onion work sharp deal and on and on...
Fun forum full of entertainment and education - my favorite internet hang out by far.

220-9erIf you're responding to anything that may stir up emotions, give it a few minutes before pressing the reply and post buttons.
Works well elsewhere too.

sig sailorI have been shooting since I was so small I needed help holding up the gun. I am now nearing 3/4 of a century in age and yet, I still learn new things about guns and shooting on SF.

CPD SIGTwo important things-
**The crazy, vast and deep knowledge on just about any topic under the sun from the members here.
Post the most oddball question and see how quickly you get the right answer!
**The willingness and thoughtfulness of members here to help and look out for another member!
Dave, 12131 amended the "imaginary" part. No, we really exist! It's just that probably -/+ 90% of us have never met in person. Talking, sharing ideas, likes, dislikes, theories (tinfoil helmets included

) believes via electronic means is our "connection" to each other. Yes, we share the same common beliefs about guns, politics, family, values, and the absolute need to have a quarter next to an uncooked chunk of meat.
We may not agree with each other. Yeah, we'll argue, call each other names on occasion, then the "Eagle" has to swooping every once in a while and settle things.
The majority take their comeuppance well, some don't, and sometimes >>>>THATS THE FUN PART<<<<.
From the outside looking in, it's probably an odd assortment of individuals.
But on the inside- not a half bad place to hang out.

smlsigDavid as I’m sure we all know the depth of expertise on this forum far exceeds anywhere else that I’ve been able to find.
The most important thing I’ve learned is that the older I get, the less I know..

maxdogSigforum is often like attending life’s university classes. Life lessons often escaped me because I didn’t listen or notice as they passed over my head.
When described by wise folks here who did listen and learn, I slow down, listen, and pay attention.

Actually, I didn't need SF to learn that, but there have been so many other things...

Loswsmith1. Never read the entire thread before responding. Why bother, you know what you're talking about.
2. Get into arguments with Para. He is, after all, not a moderator for the forum and is notoriously easy going with people who advise him about how this forum should run.
3. Politics is always fun to interject into any topic. People really enjoy that, especially the OP who just wanted his question about bananas answered.
4. Always yuk somebody's yum. After all, they asked for your opinion and by God deserve to know how you feel about something they enjoy. After all, you might just change their mind.
5. Sarcasm is always clearly apparent from a post, and anyone who says otherwise is an a-hole.

RogueJSKOne of the common themes on the forum that I've personally taken to heart over my 15 years here is: Buy once, cry once. That is, quality products are always worth the extra money.
It's a theme oft repeated in recommendations, and embodied by the various unofficially endorsed semi-official forum product lines:
Speed Queen
Waste King
Uplula
Etc.
All of them handily outperform their cheaper alternatives in their respective functions, and are worth the added cost.
