I’m not limiting this to firearms. Knives, clubs, tasers, whatever. Have you ever snuck something into your office or storeroom to keep just in case? Where did you hide it? Or was it something innocuous such as an extra large fire extinguisher or rock collection. Mention anything that you heard about or are darn sure has passed the statute of limitations.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

No weapons allowed at the GM plants but as a skilled tradesman I had my tools.
Pair of 10" Channel locks & a 10" adjustable wrench usually in my back pocket and a 2# ball peen hammer in hand. Always a knife of some sort. depending on the job of the moment I could other items, sometimes a 16# sledge hammer.
My weapons were hidden in plain sight.

Doris Kearns Goodwin spoke at a small liberal arts college a few blocks from my house last Summer. We were being wanded as we went in, and I was carrying my Buck knife. She was speaking in the gym and there were some weights near the door. I placed the knife under one very carefully.

I’ve read a ton of answers here on the good, ole’ Sig Forum. This one so far is the best.

Never hid a prohibited item where it wasn't allowed. But every day on the flight deck after 9/11 I carried a sturdy ballpoint pen and had the fire extinguisher within reach while strapped into my seat.
