That is a cool "convertible". You know we're gonna need more pics, inside and out.

Curious about this as the Bronco is based on the Ford T6 platform which the upcoming 2023 Ranger will also ride on. Will be interested in your thoughts about rear seat space after living with it a little while vs. your old Ranger.

Wife was really excited about the Bronco but kind of became disenchanted with all the delays along with way. Now that it's here I've been pushing her to go look at one. I think if they offered one with a non-removable hardtop option she might be in. We shall see.

How is the leg room in the driver's seat? Will a really long-legged guy* have enough room without bumping knees against the bottom of the steering wheel?
*Long legs -- I have a 36 1/2" inseam. Headroom is never a problem, but very few vehicles give me the leg room that I need.

Had a chance to get it dirty today taking the long way home from Darrington via the Mountain Loop highway. Not a highway at all, but about 26 miles of gravel and dirt 1.5 lanes wide. Had a hoot running between 35-40mph most of it and it just sucked up the ruts, washboard, and potholes.

I noticed at times hitting the potholes it felt almost like the rear end was drifting a little? I just left it in 2WD, no serious cornering so I don’t think it was traction control. The Ranger and Escape don’t do that, but then I never did a bonsai run with them like I did with Da Bronco.

Loved having the soft top half open and windows down in the fresh mountain air. At least until I came running up behind some slowpoke and all the fine dust in their wake. By the time I got home me and the interior were both coated with a serious layer of fine dust.

Not sure if you all can see this but it is short clip (9 seconds) as I was blasting through the forest.

And when I got home. Everything was dry, no fording of streams so not muddy just dusty.

I’d say it is pretty much identical seats to the Ranger. My impression is the back seat though is maybe an extra inch or three farther back so not breathing down the front seat folks necks. I didn’t measure, and it could just be an illusion since you have open space behind the rear seat instead of being up against the back of the cab. Even though pretty much same width as the Ranger it feels bigger inside since the sides are more vertical and not angled in going towards the roof.

They do have a non-removable HT, it’s called the Bronco Sport Wink

I refuse to give WA. State one nickel extra, so no personalized plates for me.

I can put the seat back til I don’t touch the pedals, but I only have a 28” inseam so I am not the best person to ask.

I spoke with a gentleman at the tiny town grocery store.
He got out of a two door.

I asked him if I would fit ( me being 6 ft. 4 in. tall)

He said he was 6-3 and he had plenty of room

I’m four years from my first retirement, and the two door is the first vehicle I’ve really gotten excited over in YEARS.

Dealerships around here are marking them up about $12K over MSRP and idiots are paying it. When they’re even available. I’ve seen four four doors and only one two door for sale in two years.

FJB is all I can say.

Well being in the Seattle area, most dealers like the “Adjustment” given the cost of living in this area. The advertised price was $20K over MSRP Eek

I honestly went in thinking that if they were expecting anywhere near that much it wasn’t going to happen. When I went back with my truck, I didn’t even clean it out or bring my checkbook. Actually making a deal was more of a fantasy, I really just wanted to test drive it.

I checked KBB and Edmunds for trade values on the Ranger ($32K - couple dings, a dent, interior scratches) and Mustang ($25K - one major accident but not a rebuild title), figured I would be “OK” paying up to $5K out of pocket on top of the trades. That would put the sell price of the Bronco about $8K over MSRP. Given the current market, popularity and lack of supply of Broncos, along with my love of instant gratification, I could live with that.

I told them up front I didn’t like the back and forth game, I had two great cars for trade and $5K cash. This could be an easy quick sale where they make a reasonable profit on it and have two excellent used cars they can also make a profit on or we can part ways and try again in a couple years. They might make $20,000 “extra” over the three sales, but they wouldn’t be getting it all out of my pocket on the Bronco then making even more on my trades.

They initially low balled my trades and went for the full $20K over on the Bronco asking for north of $17K difference. I reiterated that I had told them my first offer was also best and last. He went back to discuss with manager and all of a sudden they would be ok with “just” $10K cash on top of the trades.

I essentially said ”What part of “my offer is…” don’t you understand?”, told him I appreciate their time but don’t wish to waste anymore of it and if you’ll fetch my keys I’ll be on my way. He said Ok and headed to go get my keys. After about 5 minutes waiting I knew damn well I had just bought a Bronco since it didn’t take that long to fetch keys.

A few moments later the GM came out to congratulate me on my purchase. They structured the numbers to make it look like more, $37K for the Ranger and $30K for the Mustang, $70K and change for the Bronco, but bottom line was I got the deal I went in willing to make and would be happy with.

Between the Ranger and Mustang, I would have spent more than $5K in the coming year anyway. I was planning to get the extended warranty on the Ranger ($2500) in Sept just before the original 3yr expired, Mustang was due for new tires (20” not cheap!) and going from the two of those to just the Bronco is saving me $100/mo on insurance.

I need to call Ford this week, they think I can get a pro-rated refund for the extended warranty on the Mustang, still had two years left. Ended up with $37K in trade on the Ranger, not bad considering I had it for almost 3 years, put 22,000 miles on it and only paid $37,500 for it, coincidentally over $8000 UNDER sticker on that deal ( https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...290090164#6290090164 )

I guess if you look at my “average” for last two Ford purchases I paid less than combined sticker, so I ain’t one of them suckers! Wink
