My guess is she is going to drag this out until she is "made to leave" to keep that paycheck as long as she can.
She's behind on her rent and car payments and her credit cards are probably at their limits, too. She's got a lifestyle to maintain. Among all else, repossess her car and throw her out of her apartment. Enjoy prison with your husband.

Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges in court on Monday after taking a $7,000 kickback from a staff member.

The 46-year-old council member was charged with one count of wire fraud and theft involving federal funds.

She will be sentenced on July 29. The government recommended one year and one day in prison, as well as three years of supervised release and $13,000 in restitution, as per a plea agreement she entered in April.

In the plea agreement, she also admitted to filing fraudulent income taxes in 2021, 2022, and 2023. She did not include $11,000 in income from a Mass corporation, campaign funds she used for her own "personal enrichment," and the $7,000 kickback in her returns to the IRS. She will not face tax charges...

And she’s collected pay at ~$10k a month since her arrest and still has not been removed from office ?

Has been a mom to 17 foster kids ? Not at same time I imagine. What’s that pay ?

Can’t naturalised citizens get their citizenship revoked if they do some illegal stuff ? I thought I read this somewhere. Tom Homan needs to get on this one.

The internet says someone can be de-naturalised. But not for committing a crime. Has to be for fraud in the naturalisation process
