While I have a fairly large cityscape painting on the wall of my office, this one wouldn't interest me. The quoted size is huge and looks like it might appeal most to someone with a large amount of open wall space and interested in the particular style/era.

Nothing interesting in it for me.

For me, zero.
For me with a huge garage that I was adding wall art to as place holder until I spend lottery winnings on some more gravity-fed pumps? I'd go $225 for the frame mainly.

I see no value in this, for me.

I'm in oil & gas. Myself, some of my coworkers, and some of the retirees I know have a nice collection of oil & gas collectibles. People like us and classic car collectors are likely the target audience.

I don't personally have room for 5'x10'.

Gives me a bit of an Edward Hopper feel. I like it. It would look good on the wall of a fully-outfitted garage. For the cost of materials alone (presuming it's an oil painting), I would feel comfortable right at $500.

The oil painting is being offered at auction by Christie's at their upcoming November 19, 2024 20th Century Evening Sale.

I already voted over $500, but with this Barron's estimate info my oil & gas buddies are no longer the target audience by quite a few zeros.

Looks like someone got Adobe Illustrator, spent a week on tutorials, then drew this thing.

I'm in the wrong line of work. I did paint-by-numbers as a kid that looked better than that.

This falls into the more money than sense category.

It’s not worth anything to me as I have no place to hang it.

As for the auction, I remember a saying ‘a fool and his money …’

Too big in scale for me otherwise if "normal" size then maybe.
