Mark, i did not see you mention whether 2 or 4wd. As I recall the one you were replacing was a 2wd.
If it is 2wd did you price a 4wd model for comparison?

The difference in the reg cab 2wd vs 4wd in WT configuration is exactly $2800 using base MSRP

I went with RWD. I have no use for 4WD.

A 2WD 3/4 ton pickup! That’s a truck after my own heart.

Now, run the wheel barrel unto the side of the bed, crease the top of the tailgate, and fill the dash up with 12 inches of tools and papers. That way you can get some work done instead of worrying about the truck. Big Grin

I can't wait until the remote tailgate goes down when the spreader carrier is on the hitch. Mad

Is there a way to lock the tailgate so it won't go down with the dash or keychain button?

I'll always remember the days when Mark was just an every day guy in the lawn business, hanging out with the rest of us schmucks doing the daily grind.

But now he's an internet sensation with all of that Youtube money. Remote tailgate money. Don't forget where you came from Mark! Wink

Go into the settings through the radio touch screen, you may be able to turn it off from there. I will research it tomorrow

I can check the manual. Smile Something that I can't find information on is do I need to have my phone plugged in to use CarPlay? It seems I do even with Bluetooth on.

Same way in my wife's fancy schmancy RAV4 hybrid.

Disappointing, that it doesn't work via bluetooth.
When she bought the car, I had to work hard to convince the sales manager that there was a deal-killer on the table: I insisted that a couple of insanely priced distributor / dealer add-ons needed to be deleted, one of which was a package that included two phone cables, priced at $75.00.

YIKES! Seventy-five bucks for two cables. I took my wife's phone and showed them the price of cables from Monoprice.com, and Anker. Five bucks or so for a pairwith lifetime warranty, not seventy-five.

What do you guys think about Ziebart or other rust protection? I won't be driving it very much in the winter. I would like it to last as long as my old truck.

Rhino or LineX, brand doesn’t matter. The person doing the job is the important part.
