Student beaten by substitute teacher, Kyle,Tx.

The teacher requested the student turn over their cellphone because they weren’t supposed to have it in class. When the student refused she went to take the phone away from her. When the teacher grabbed the phone the student slapped the teacher and then the teacher commenced with the beating. Completely unacceptable and she will pay a heavy price for it. If she would have just walked away, then the student would probably have been charged. Obviously other kids had their cellphones too because it got recorded on video.

I see a vicious assault on a student. Stomping on someone's head is thuggery at its worst. Despicable.

The school needs to be sued tidily for bringing in such a violent individual with no self-control. I would also like to see the woman sued civilly as well.

If that was my daughter, her assailant had better hope she doesn't post bail. I would find her and although I don't strike females, I would make a determined exception in her case. I'd take my chances with a jury.

If the highlighted section above is true and a result of the stop, it should be all over for this woman.

Had that been one of mine, there'd be no measure as to how fast I'd come down on the State nor how far I'd take it. There would be heads rolling all the way up the bureaucratic chain. My thirst for blood would be unquenchable by money alone. There would need to be prison time and gushing tearful apologies from the former bureaucrats who hired her. Maybe then I wouldn't go after them personally........maybe.

I have a teaching degree and have done some substitute teaching when I didn't have a full time position. In the state of Michigan you need only two years of higher education to qualify to be a substitute. That is two years of college for anything. No education training required. I was a substitute at a number of different school systems all over the state, and never once did anyone check to see if I was a convicted felon, sex offender, or mass murderer. Did not seem like a good plan. This was forty years ago, so things may be better now. It does look like Tx. could use some fine tuning on there system though.
