My wife and I have visited all 50 states, about half of Canada and a good share of Mexico.

Never been out of Ohio. Shit, I've never been north of Akron or west of Columbus. I'll be 40 this year.

That's interesting to see where people have been.
I've only been to 23 states plus DC.

Well, the good news is there is a whole country to explore and you're not nearly too old to see it. Razz

Well, let's say at least driven through, even if you didn't stop and walk around. Razz

If flying over counted, I'd likely have the whole map filled in except AK and HI.

I honestly don't recall if I've driven through Oregon or Idaho. A few States were "layovers" either by plane (AK) or Naval ship (WA, HI). All the others I've travelled in over the decades. Big Grin

Need to drive around, see things, and interact with the locals.

I don't count Georgia as I never left Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport so I never truly saw Georgia.

I have landed an airplane in all the states, including Alaska and Hawaii. I burned 1,000,000 gallons of fossil fuel in jets........and was never an airline pilot.

I don't have the two Dakotas and Alaska. We did two major cross country drives from CA to Maine that hit most of the states. The others were from various times in my life. The Google map below was the first cross country trip. The second was a lower route.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Over numerous trips I've enjoyed riding a motorcycle through the 48 contiguous states and most of Canada's provinces.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.
