Its as if I married two different people.
My wife freezes me out in the house, but roasts me out in the car. What is up with that?

In the interest of science, I say you move into an RV and see what happens.

I believe most married guys may think they got 2 (or more) partners in the bargain...in one way or another, for better or worse.

She's probably saying to her friends that "he likes the house and car the same temperature. What is up with that?"

Yeah, when we got a new Hvac I asked if they could do a placebo mode so when she tries to crank up the heat the fan just blows for 5 min and stops. It would display the new temp but in reality, keep it at like 68. He sadly stated they did not have this function.

After decades of marriage my wife has just in the last few months discovered the HVAC thermostat and has figured out how to adjust it.

Oh the horror...

Now I have to buy a new more complicated or programable one I guess...

Just last week I noticed she had the AC on, set to 70 degrees. She had the doors and a couple windows open. It was 82 outside Roll Eyes

At work we had a thermostat on a pole at the front end of each large production machine... guess they were placebo units as a good friend in maintenance told me they weren't even connected. The plant engineer controlled the climate control remotely!

Endeavor to persevere.

I know "a guy"
His wife has to have the tv volume
Seven notch's too high, so it can be heard from any where on the first floor.

But!
When they are in any car the fan on the heater/cooler has to be on extra low because it makes too much noise.

My wife had me install curtains to block the sun into the master bath, through glass bricks, as the morning sun was so hot. But she insists on keeping the hvac at 73.

When I got my hearing aids, the audiologist showed me the button for "spousal mode" (mute).

I don't have hearing aids yet. My routine is "speak into my good ear." "Which one is your good ear?" "Depends upon what you are saying to me." Big Grin

They should.
