I get the fact that for a normal concert you have days to set up, sound check, every thing is more or less fixed until the show is over.

Here this is an interlude in the middle of something completely different so shortcuts are taken. That is why I prefer live bands. They lack all of the dynamic showy stuff but it's real music.

I do not think things like millions of $s of donations to legitimate charities. And the billions of dollars of positive economic impact on communities and businesses are not a value to our country.

After all it is a competition. Nothing else, to me. One trying to beat the other.

My only experience with the Superbowl today was at the grocery store seven hours ago. Black couple in front of me with their Eagles jerseys on took up BOTH checkout lanes, splitting their cart between the two. Never seen that before. I asked the lady if they were done. She neither made eye contact, nor responded behind her N95 mask, just stared straight ahead, so I started putting down my items on the conveyor behind the guy just as he started arguing with the clerk. "Two forty eight for a bag of chips!? You crazy? Nah, it's two bags for two forty eight!" I picked up my shit and went to another line, one smooth motion. Twoyogurtcontainersdown,twoyogurtcontainersup. He argued for several minutes and then gave up on the bag of chips. It's Winco - cheap as cheap gets and he's arguing with the guy about a bag of chips.

There's my Superbowl 2023 story. Didn't even have to watch to get my dose of "fuck whitey."
