I logged into Foxnews this morning and they are live streaming their morning tv.

I can't turn it off.

I block the element but I still hear the video.

Any ideas?

Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Why did you need to log in anything? I'm confused.

I'm assuming that we're talking Windows and Internet Explorer.

CTRL-ALT-DELETE then Task Manager. In the Processes tab, look for Internet Explorer or iexplorer.exe, right click it, and end task.

Or just reboot your machine.

Make sure a miniature video is not playing down in the bottom right corner of the webpage, off your screen

People use IE to surf the internet? I thought it was only used to download Chrome and Firefox. Wink

I am having the same issue in Chrome. Refreshed the page once or twice and the little video window in the top left corner went back to the default-volume off.

It's the video in the top left of the page.

I reinstalled FF, didn't help.

It's a change Fox has made on their end. I'm getting the same annoying behavior.

I've seen it too. I just hit the mute button and ignore it.

In firefox, if there's audio playing in a tab, there should a little speaker icon next to the close "x" for the tab. Click the speaker to mute the tab.

Look Under the Fox logo at top left of page. You should see the live stream, if so just put the cursor on the live stream and left click once.
