My wife got hers mid January? Taxes done on the 28th, money in the bank on Feb 5th.

don't have to mail them till 1/31. And USPS says first class mail is 2-7 days and only a tiny fraction of the mail is in that window. So I wouldn't even be disappointed till around 2/14

They are required by by law to be there by 1/31. If yours isn't given to you by that date, you may want to contact the company or individual responsible for yours.
If the taxpayer doesn't receive the missing form in time to file their income tax return by the filing due date, they may complete Form 4852 or Form 1099-R to estimate their wages and earnings. They then attach the relevant form to their tax return when they file.
You can download a copy of your 1099 if you have a Social Security Online account.

Well sort of. The postman left it on the sidewalk all crumpled and wet. The different companies that pay me take their time. There must be minimal penalties. I get quite a few and check them carefully. One company stated I made 150 grand from them. Obviously an error. The secretary told me not to worry about it. After repeated calls and letters it was resolved six months later.

Received last 1099 on Friday 01/30, took everything to tax preparer appt. On Sat. 02/01 who filed electronically. Received accepted notice later Sat. afternoon.
