As firearms enthusiasts we hold certain things at a high level of appreciation. Modern technology with old world dedication to perfection, the Korth Pistol is a work of art, expensive and limited in production.

I have found my Korth!!!!!! I am very fortunate to have friends that helped me with this. It was an order placed almost two years ago. And it’s MINE! I have a large collection of guitars and ALL the GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome) has gone (for now) Cool I present my Tom Anderson “Drop Top” in faded Blue Jean!

My Suhr is pissed… lol

Never have I experienced a better guitar… period, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Enjoy

It’s beautiful! Congrats I hope you enjoy, but thinking you are cured from GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome) is quite laughable.

Very nice. There's a cool shop a few hours north of me called Guitar Sanctuary that has a bunch of TA and Suhrs in stock.

I'm actually kind of glad I didn't bond with any of them on my shopping trip. Because once you pick up the right guitar and it goes "zing!" and you don't buy it, you spend the rest of your life going "I shoulda bought that one.....".

Congrats! It's always nice to find a new #1.

Well, sybo’s comparison to Korth is on the money. I’ll second that.

The guitar is gorgeous, but (don’t get me wrong) I’m not sure how I feel about the two-screw neck joint. What’s the reasoning behind (no pun intended) this? Why not three, like Fender’s 70’s Jazz Basses, or the standard industry four bolts? Can the engineers in here chime in?

There's one picture that shows the neck has a truncated V shape that fits into a trough in the body which is much different than Fender's flat backed neck fitting into the psuedo slot routed in a Fender body. A guess would be the Anderson joint only requires two screws because the joint itself provides lateral stability that the Fender joint does not. It also appears the screws are a bit larger and there are metal reinforcements in the wood of the body. I would bet that there are metal threaded fittings in the neck.

There's a nice picture of the front of sybo's guitar on their website: link.

That is a great looking guitar, quality in every detail.

What is the body wood?

What is the bridge pickup?

Is the fretboard ebony?

Can I have your old Suhr?

.
