I've often wondered why some get so worked up over this.

So you need to change your clocks twice a year. Oh, the horror!

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I have far more important things to be concerned about than an hour here or there.

Clocks blah. Extra daylight to mow the grass or drink a beer and relax in the backyard, priceless.

I was on time for Church. Mass at 5pm every Saturday evening.
Sunday morning is for relaxing or getting a head start on a project. Wink

It is a pain in my ass because my cows don't tell time by a clock Smile

I have lots of timepieces that theoretically should be changed for DST. My computer and cable box change automatically. My appointments schedule is maintained on my computer, so will be OK. I have an alarm clock that will need to be changed, or I won't be awakened on time for a morning appointment. I will change it. My camera stays on CDT all the time, and during the 5 months we are sane (on CST) I just make the alteration in my head. I have a wall clock and a grandfather clock that I don't bother to change--they don't control my life so don't matter. I do change the clock in my car, because I need to be able to handle appointments.

I hate DST with a passion. When I was growing up in Detroit (prior to 1960) Michigan did not "do" Daylight Saving Time. It has since joined the insane, particularly since Michigan is essentially on DST anyway--the whole state is in the wrong Time Zone (should geographically be Central, not Eastern). Thank the bankers in Detroit back in the 1900s for choosing to go with New York time.

The railroads can be thanked for establishing Time Zones, based on when the Sun was highest in the sky to be noon; thank the politicians for messing it up. You folks that want another hour of daylight in the summer, just adjust your work schedule or get some exterior lighting. Your lawn will do fine until the weekend. You don't need 18 holes of golf every day--get a treadmill. Leave the clocks alone!

It's been the second Sunday in March since 2007. Wiki DST

I rather like the extra hour of daylight at the end of the day rather than an early sunrise.

I’m all for a bill for PERMANENT DST.

I’d vote yes for that...

For the past two weeks the sun has been rising on my drive to work. Now for the next few I'll drive to work in the dark again, that sucks.
Permanent DST would mean 9 AM sunrise here in the winter, that doesn't seem very pleasant to me.

I'm retired and I barely care what day it is let alone what time it is.

That's my goal there.

What day is it? Don't need to care because I'm retired. Big Grin

Ah, screw it. I'm setting everything to Zulu time.

Yawn, Yawn. Yep, but most of our clocks do it automatically. Slept in and missed church.
