P250UA5Motorcycle Guys: Scorpion (brand) Helmets?
Glad to see so many positive reviews. I'd never heard of Scorpion before.
Weather looks like it'll be clear today, so hoping to give it a road test.

P250UA5Road tested up to about 50mph. Comfortable, no buffeting, and its it's nice to have a visor. The flip down 'sunglasses' do a decent job, didn't try it with regular sunglasses.

No such thing.

220-9erAnother area where helmets differ by application- motorcycles need a wider peripheral vision compared to auto racing where pure high impact protection is given priority. That is why some quality helmets are DOT and not Snell and vise versa.
Years ago when I had a BMW motorcycle and read a forum, they posted a German safety study about motorcycles and actual accidents. The highest percentage where the helmet was a factor, involved your head striking something the same way it would have if you were stationary and just fell over onto the pavement. Even if you're going 80, very few involved something more complex than that. It was mostly the initial fall that did the damage in most cases.
