I travel to Greensboro once a month. I have found a great burger place called Hops Burger Bar and I’m looking for other great food places.

Any suggestions are welcome. If you know of any good Pho places, that would be even better.

Greensboro resident here..PHO HIEN VUONG on Spring Garden St is my pick for pho dishes.
Stamey's is fine but haven't been since I started smoking my own pork, although I still stop for hushpuppies and other sides to have with mine.

and yes, Hops makes a great burger and onion rings

Oh man, I miss Hops. I used to frequent Hops when I ran a warehouse in GSO/Kernersville.

Great burgers and really great beer.

Of all the times I have been going to Greensboro for the past year, I have never had BBQ there. Will definitely be trying this. Love me some peach cobbler!

Hops just got voted by Travel Advisor for having the best burger. There was a time when I ate there every month for 3-5 months straight during every trip up there. I have also eaten at Crafted Art of the Taco downtown and it was so good. I underestimated it when I saw the food but two tacos with two sides filled me. Also went to Cheesecakes by Alex, they make the desserts for Hops. It was so good the following month I brought a cooler up just to bring some cheesecake back for my wife.

Been to the minor league park a couple of times, hard to beat that amount of entertainment for $11.

Can you e-mail me? E-mail is in my profile.

We ate at really good local restaurant called Southern Roots. It is a place to dine rather than eat and go. Also, it has a bar for those who imbibe.

NC BBQ is "vinegary." If that floats your boat, OK, but I don't personally care for it.

Love Hops. Great burger joint. Bonchon Greensboro is solid Korean fried chicken. Like Para said, Stamey's is fantastic BBQ. I really like Natty Greene's as well, great beer.

Glad you liked it. I just found it by googling when I was up that way. I'm near Charlotte, so when up that way it's either there for BBQ or Elizabeth's Pizza Express in Lexington. Elizabeth's has several locations but imo the pizza here is better than the others, and it's just a little pizza joint. Coming back from Greensboro or anywhere up I85, I've gotten into the habit of eating in for the BBQ and then picking up a pizza to take home and freeze. Their individual slices at lunch time are not good.
