Be very clear on if you are paying sales tax at the dealership or in your home state. Sometimes they want to collect it and send it to the state themselves creating unnecessary delays and frustration. Fight that, but do it up front. __________________________ Keep your rotor in the green The aircraft in trim Your time over target short Make it count

Over on the Ram 5th gen forum people swear by the Mark Dodge dealership. They seem to cater to out of state purchases. https://5thgenrams.com/communi...rs-mark-dodge.66821/

Appreciate all of the replies thus far, it does seem straight-forward and I have located a couple rigs that are still available to look into thanks to the likes of cars.com and autotrader.com Follow-up question I have for those that have done this is have you been able to negotiate a right of refusal if need be as part of a deal? I am unfortunately not in a position to travel to pick anything up due to our planned vacation to Michigan next week. While I know I could sit until after we get home, I run the risk of a rig I like being sold and am trying to manage this aspect of a deal and not be locked into something if I find a problem once I travel to pick the rig up. Do I just need to bite the bullet as that's how it is in 2025 or do I still have options there?
