I have coordinates for a location in Texas. I would like to locate historical USGS aerial photography from the 1970's. I studied the USGS aerial website but I cannot figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Is there another source to score historic aerial photography? I'm looking for digital downloads. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

Perhaps https://www.historicaerials.com/ has what you seek. -- I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. JALLEN 10/18/18 https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...610094844#7610094844

Google Earth Pro also might have some pics. There is a slider for historic images. NRA Life Member - "Fear God and Dreadnaught"

Depending on how rural the area is, they may not fly it too often. Satellite imagery may also be available, but the resolution is not as good as actual fly-overs I second Google Earth Pro (I have it). If you want to shoot me the coordinates, I can take screen shots and send them to you as far back as it goes. Email in profile -.---.----.. -.---.----.. -.---.----.. It seems to me that any law that is not enforced and can't be enforced weakens all other laws.

Don't Panic |
Like the prior posters, Google Earth is what I use for this. If GE has what you're looking for, then you're good to go. If not, there may be stuff that USGS has, that Google Earth doesn't.
They appear to have a (well hidden) GoogleEarth-like web application that you can use to search their stuff. If you go to the 'data and tools' tab on that page, that'll take you to this URL: https://www.usgs.gov/centers/e...ience_center_objects That page has a link to the web app - "Earth Explorer" which has a scrollable/zoomable map of the US. Find the place you're looking for, click on the map, and then you can use the date and data selection box to search what they may have for that location. Good luck with your research.

I'm Fine |
Our county GIS website has historical aerials in an easy to sort setup. I also have access to some stuff as a state employee - in TN. I would check your city, county, and state websites to see what is available. ------------------ SBrooks

Thanks guys. Google earth pro only goes back to 1995. I found some images from the site that SigJacket recommended (thanks!) but they had years 1952 and 1982. No dates in the 1970's. Many there isn't any? Anyway here are the coordinates in case anyone has some spare time: 30.059247,-94.801399 "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"
