I've got a utility trailer stripped in my garage and I have to get it road-ready and out of there.

Specifically, I'm on the hunt for two 24" Open Eye Slipper Style Trailer Leaf Springs. They are a four-leaf design with an overall length of 25 3/4". The leafs are 1 3/4" wide. (The capacity is 1,400 for each spring.)

Design image below does not reflect exactly what I need since that is a three-leaf design. It's just there to show the design of an open eye slipper style spring.

Any suggestions? I found them at trailerpart.com in New Jersey, but they took my money and are not willing to ship anything to me any time soon. I need these ASAP.

Update - Project complete...

I called them before, and they do not have a match. Very helpful, but no match.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

Around here I would just take off one of the springs and take to a local spring shop.
If they didn't have them in stock they would get them or make them.
Might take a couple days.

I know they are not near you. But I have in the past used them a lot and was never not able to locate what I needed.

It also may be able to cut the leaf spring mounts off the trailer and weld on new mounts to match a more common leaf spring. Good luck.

Yes, but even on their website did not find the right spring.

Unfortunately no luck there either. Bought some other components there, but they did not have a match for the springs.

Try a marine/boat trailer supply store. The amount of leafs does not matter as long as they fit, the weight rating does matter.

Here you go:

A thought maybe there is a reason you want to keep it original. But why not buy a set of springs and have the mounts welded to your trailer to fit the new set?

Thank you for the links. The third one has (sort of) what I need, but they are double the price of what I had previously found. Keeping this link here for reference as this is what I need, but again the price is crazy - https://www.boattrailerparts.c...r-spring-_p_887.html

Comes down to cost. After I media blast this thing and paint it myself, I'm already about 15% more than it would cost to buy a new trailer.

Yeah, maybe it's not a good financial move to rebuild this thing, but there is a bit of a sentimental value to this thing.

I don't weld, so would have to figure out a way to get it somewhere. It weighs 500 pounds.

Well it could be plan B, if you know anyone that can weld? There are mobile welders

I'll consider that and start looking for mobile welders.
