Just happened to be in Las Vegas last weekend for a motorcycle trip and Koenigseeg was doing a top speed test out in Pahrump NV, home of brothels and long straight highways.
They had reported that the road might be closed all day, 5 of us broke off from the larger group and went out to the area, but we missed seeing the run. Koenigseeg thought they'd have to go all day but busted the record on the first pass hitting over 280 MPH one way, and 277 combined to top Bugatti's previous record of 267
So we got to ride down the same road, albeit at 1/3 the speed.
Pretty amazing stuff. They broke 5 world records that day.

If you have not watched APEX: The Story of the Hypercar on Netflix I highly suggest it especially if you are a Koenigseeg fan. Has tons of history on the company.

I read that on the outbound run, they maxed the car out at something like 282.5mph. Not sure the RPM, but insane.
I've seen video of their test driver slinging an Agera around on their factory runway in Sweden, it's amazing how stable the cars are.
