Still have to get it professionally set up as I didn’t have time when I picked it up though it is pretty well set from the factory it seems already.

For $1,200, that's difficult to beat.

I'd say you definitely did good on this.

Did you go with a large dealer like GC, MF, Sweetwater, etc.?

Congrats

The more I play mine the more I like it. I put my Strat in the case and will leave it there for a few months to get better on the LP.

Hey congrats! I had a feeling I should look for this thread, and I'm pleased to see such good news. You did it right, man. Enjoy that Les Paul and welcome to the club. Big Grin

Early signs of “GAS”. It’s a syndrome I fight with daily. It’s totally an addiction. I just yesterday went there again........
but that’s another post......

Here's my favorite flametop. A 59' Historic and my last Les Paul as I can no longer play a guitar, I hated letting it go as it was one of the sweetest sounding Les Pauls I owned over the years. I purchased separately two original PAF's both a 58' double white and a 59' zebra that just sounded amazing. Jim Rolph of Tenn installed and set them up along with all vintage pots and Sprague "Black Beauties" caps in the electronics. I always favored Les Pauls but had other vintage guitars that I enjoyed as well. Good luck with yours, she looks great and will serve you well for many years. I'll always miss mine...

My 59' Historic flametop

Regards, Will G.

Tell me about it. This thread gave me serious GAS for whatever reason.

I decided to get the wine red LP out tonight along with the MIM Taylor. As far as GAS goes, when I find the right Godin for the right price, it's mine. In the meantime, I'm planning to start a Strat style build soon. I'll probably stick with 25.5 scale and 1-5/8 nut. Not sure what size frets but thinking stainless.

Yesterday found me going home with a American Performer Tele.

I have to stop,
