You guys are complaining about $2.25-$3.00 gas?

The cheap stuff here is $4.15 for the Honda and $4.65 for my sports car. Our combined taxes are about $1.50-$1.60 per gallon.

My wife bought gas yesterday for $1.21 (it was originally $2.21 but she used points and got a buck knocked off). When was the last time you did that???

if the war in ukraine is stopping russia's output why is gas prices lower and not higher?? Like somebody else said, if any catastrophe (storms fires, wars(( shipping lanes affected))the oil company's hike prices.

My last trip to town, 3 days ago, gas was $2.94 a gal. here in western Mt,

Crude Oil speculation has been rampant this year. It's not just the USA's West Texas Intermediate - it's the Brit's Brent, the OPEC "basket", Iran's heavy, Saudi's Arab Medium, etc.


Worldwide crude traders simultaneously and collectively crapped their pants when Trump implemented tariffs, and didn't manage to get control of their bowels until about the second half of June. I've pretty much come to the conclusion we may never see gas under $3 a gallon in this state again.

Being tied for 3rd highest gasoline tax in the nation makes it tough (CA $.71, IL $.66, and PA/WA $.59). Then, being in a PADD region with more demand than refining capacity makes it tougher as you're paying long-range logistics and susceptible to price impacts from manmade (e.g. pipeline spill) and natural disasters (e.g. hurricane). It's a double whammy making it hard to be under $3/gal.

On the other hand, Houston has a refining surplus (i.e. part of the Gulf Coast refinery cluster that supplies the eastern US) and only $.20 tax so we've been under $3 since summer '24.

$2.95 today. Diesel $3.45.

$2.29 in my neighborhood today.

Gas is running around $2.60 per gallon here in Suwanee, GA. That's a little lower than what it was in 2007 (around $2.75 per gallon). I only remember this because I did an analysis then when trying to decide whether to buy a Honda Civic or a Toyota Tacoma.

Finally starting to drop, filled up today for $3.13 which is dirt cheap for PA

Pricing around here makes zero sense, I mainly fill up at Wawa and the one I used near me on my way to work was $3.13, then the next one about 5 miles down the road is $3.25 then the next one after that about 8 more miles is like $3.30

$2.99 for 87 Octane in town this morning. Plus a 10¢ discount on my Irving card.

$2.07 in my town today.

I do not even concern myself with gas prices. I am going to drive where I need to drive - even if gas is $6 a gallon.

I may use the next swing high to pick up an Excursion with a V10. They are fairly cheap now but should get cheaper when gas prices spike up. I have plenty of oil stock too so when prices go up I make money…….

I have a friend who says this too but I don't understand this mentality at all. Do you not have a budget? Do you have unlimited money? Most of us do not live like that.
