The freedom to upload videos has resulted in a myriad of utterly ridiculous, banal, and self-aggrandizing behaviors.

We could trace this back to MTV in its original day, with produced videos designed to shock and awe the viewers.

Now anyone can purchase equipment and create a studio, and Meta et al can provide an outlet for a small fee.

If only we could go back in time and stop the internet.
