I bought a GooLoo on sale on Amazon. Since then have bought all the kids and all the cars their own GooLoos because we've never had a problem. The battery on the most recent one (the unit is very compact BTW) was still charged to 4 lights after months in the trunk of the S2000. Good thing because I needed it.
