Do we have a favorite car battery compact jump box? I see a good rating on this WOLFBOX https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod...=A2KR0J0CK34VOC&th=1 Use will be long trips in 17 Subaru Forester and or 06 Tacoma. Hope to never need it. But you never know. My Subaru has had poor battery life. Dealer warrented 3 new batteries since new in 2017 SIGnature NRA Benefactor CMP Pistol Distinguished

Antigravity micro start series. FYI - When you are selecting a jump starter, it is super important to distinguish battery chemistry. Lithium Ion (used in cell phones, computers) is NOT as good as Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) for these applications. The cheap Lithium Ion boxes pose a MUCH higher risk of fire.

Oddly enough I just received my first ever jumper, a NOCO GB40, yesterday. For what it's worth I found one CR report which had the Antigravity rated as the best tested, but the NOCO wasn't in the test. We shall see.

Bought a NOCO several years ago based on recommendations here. No complaints.

A good test site is the YouTube channel Project Farm. His tests are far more comprehensive than most. If you can withstand his vocal tonality, or if you just skip to the end, you will find your answer. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

I have 3 DBPower boxes from Amazon. They all work great just used one yesterday to help a lady. Have one in each car and have given a few as gifts. If not used I charge them every 6 months just to be sure they are fully juiced ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Fantastic video; I was ready to buy the Milwaukee, but after seeing the extremely poor performance, there's no way! If I decide to spend the money, I'll go for the Noco GBX155 , otherwise the Gooloo GT400S looks like the best budget choice. My only concern with anything other than the Noco is long term reliability. _____________________________________ P220, P225, P226, P228, P229 Legion, P230, P230SL, P239, 38H, P365, P365 faux Legion, M17X, M17 Full, M18, P210 Standard, P210 Carry Custom Works, SP2022

I also have 2 of the Antigravity micro jump starters. They are both about 10 years old and continue to hold their charge, stored in the car and truck. Any dog can be a Guide Dog if you don't care where you're going. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

I have a NOCO in both vehicles. I used the one in my truck last month. I pull them both out each January to check them out and charge them. “We truly live in a wondrous age of stupid.” - 83v45magna "I think it's important that people understand free speech doesn't mean free from consequences societally or politically or culturally." -Pranjit Kalita, founder and CIO of Birkoa Capital Management

I have a NOCO. I did have to upgrade one size as the one I initially bought would not quite reliably spin my Corvette over. I should have known better as the 6.2L engine is high compression and was on the top end limit of the first NOCO that I bought. No big deal as I went up a size and gifted my daughter with the first one I purchased. Her and grandkids sedans and suv's have had no issues and the new one for me spins the LT4 just fine. Actually this mistake may have saved me getting up at night or traveling to start their cars. I have a NOCO GBX45. I have not used it yet so I can't speak to the performance, but I'm confident I will NOT be disappointed. I purchased it during a Prime Days sale back in mid-Oct @ 20% off for $99.96...Merry Christmas to me! I had decided to get one quite a while ago, in large part based on recommendations here, but all my batteries were pretty new at the time, and I had a more immediate need for a battery charger suitable for an AGM Battery. As far as battery chargers go, in case anyone has a need, I will say I have a NOCO GENIUS10 Battery Charger that I couldn't be happier with. ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Slight thread drift... We have a 2015 Subaru Outback and found the original battery to be quite undersized. Apparently that is a known issue. I replaced the original battery with a Walmart Max 24f and not looked back. It solved the "slow start" issue. While it was not an exact fit, all I had to do was rearrange the leads to the battery. Let me know if you want pics.

I have owned that Wolfbox 4000a since April, it's amazing I sell new commercial trucks and have probably jumped a 100 with it, V8s and Duramax diesels with no issues. It even jumps them off when completely dead It uses 3% of it's battery for every jump
