That’s just one of the many things I admired about the Marine Corps.

Perhaps things have changed since my active duty days, but no—and unfortunately in my opinion. There may have been the occasional exception among Army units, but it was far from an established tradition.

I feel exactly the same way25 years service,2 combat deployments, would do it all again no question

The Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA) sponsors an Army Ball this time every year, but it was a no-go because of Covid 19. Info on last year's event:
