14 June 1775. I hope I am here to see the 250th anniversary (I believe). “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. It is only a drill. If it had been a real life, you would have been given instructions about where to go and what to do.

That’s just one of the many things I admired about the Marine Corps. Perhaps things have changed since my active duty days, but no—and unfortunately in my opinion. There may have been the occasional exception among Army units, but it was far from an established tradition. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. The Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA) sponsors an Army Ball this time every year, but it was a no-go because of Covid 19. Info on last year's event: https://www.facebook.com/events/320405978629339/ https://www.ausa.org/chapters/...land-arsenal-chapter
