This story features a copper thief who was fatally electrocuted atop a power pole.

Dude was wearing an ankle monitor at the time. Turns out it was handy, as the cops used it to figure out the identify of the dead thief.

And a wig.

A wig?

His relatives will probably sue the pole manufacturer. Smile

Actually, it’s hard for me to believe that a guy climbing a utility pole would cause it to break. Something else must have been going on.

He has already been charged, so law enforcement won't have to do so.

Razz

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It was nice of the perp to wear his ankle bracelet so he could be ID'd. That's thinking ahead.

reminds me,

knew a guy years ago that owned a pawn shop
in a kinda hood area, got broken into often,

one time, in a blind corner, the perps broke thru a brick/block wall, just above the fuse/breaker box,

instead of moving over a foot or so, they just pushed the wires apart enough to fit thru,

I had stopped by to see what he had for sale and he took me in the back room to show,

no idea how they managed to not pull the leads loose and not electrocute themselves or short out the system
